Life can become extremely busy and stressful for many of us, especially students who are parents pursuing their education or a career change. It is often a challenge to find the right work, life, and "everything else" balance to live a healthy and happy life.
In all our busyness, our health and well-being usually become a lower priority, increasing the chance to be at risk for unhealthy behaviors or risk behaviors that can lead to poor health, disease, or suicide according to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Many times students drop classes or out of school when they feel overwhelmed or stressed by life events such as, affording school, finding child care, and pressure from outside environments.
Albert Einstein states that "creativity is intelligence having fun." For our family, we believe that fun, laughter, and positive conversation can make a difference in learning, living, and loving others. James Mapes states, "...you want to learn not only to control negative stress but, even more importantly, how to renew and recharge."
